读书让我更深刻得体会了教育的民主，在学生眼里，教师能够与他们平起平坐，他们的心理也就获得了一种平衡，这样的教师最能受到学生的敬重。学生乐意与我走近，常把心里话告诉我，向我诉说烦恼，向我倾诉困难，我因此常和学生交流，这不能不说是一笔最宝贵的财富。
首先，教育事业是一个崇高的事业。教师对美好的事物应保持敏锐的态度。教师面对的孩子就是最美好的事物，他们有纯真的心灵、诚实的态度、自然的感情、善良的愿望，如果不能捕捉到那些美，你就辜负了造化的赐予。教师对美好事物保持高度的敏锐，才会发自内心的爱孩子，并因为爱而满心欢喜。教师要有“赤子之心”。做个很单纯、很简单、很好奇、很幼稚，有时有点傻劲的人。教师应有独立思想，让我经常思考教育问题，思考人的问题，思考我为什么而教，怎样教，将教育活动与人生思索融为一体。
其次，在新的教育理念引导下，应不断改进教学方式和手段。学生作为人，是需要灌输精神理想的，那么教师首先应该做的就是顺乎人性。学生需值得去珍爱，在工作过程中要学会宽容学生，与学生和谐相处；另一方面，教师在尊重学生时，也要学会合理合法地惩戒学生，所谓“惩戒”，是指通过对不合规范的行为施以否定性的制裁，从而避免其再次发生，以促进合范行为的产生与巩固。但惩戒必须注意几点：一、教师惩戒学生应具有教育性；二、尊重学生人格； 三、惩戒应合理并公正；四、惩戒要符合相关程序。
在新的教育理念下，教师要学会不培养乖孩子。如果我们将一个个乖孩子树为学生学习的'楷模，而必然的报应就是，在这个多元化、个性化的时代，调皮捣蛋的孩子越来越多，而那些当初的乖孩子，将来他们也许就是“弱势群体“，汇入茫茫的失业大军。

once when i was six years old, i saw a magnificent picture in a book,called true stories from nature, about the primeval forest. it was a picture of a boa constrictor in the act of swallowing an animal. here is a copy of the drawing.
in the book it said:" boa constrictors swallow their prey whole, without chewing it. after that they are not able to move, and they sleep through the six months that they need for digestion."
i pondered deeply, then, over the adventures of the jungle. and after some work with a colored pencil i succeeded in making my first drowing,my drawing number one. it looked like this:
i showed my masterpiece to the grown-ups, and asked them whether the drawing frightened them.
but they answered:"frighten? why should any one be frightened by a hat?"
my drawing was not a picture of a hat. it was a picture of a boa constrictor digesting an elephant. but since the grown-ups were not able to understand it, i made another drawing: i drew the inside of the boa constrictor,so that the grown-ups could see it clearly. they always need to have things explained. my drawing number two looked like this:
